Amazon Boosts Exports with SEND Expansion, Launches Export Navigator

Amazon has expanded its Global Selling Seller Exports and Delivery (SEND) programme to simplify international shipping for Indian exporters. This enhanced initiative introduces three new carriers for air and ocean routes, connecting India with major markets in the US, the UK, and Germany. The move aligns with Amazon’s vision of empowering Indian sellers to thrive in global trade.

Low-Cost Warehousing with SEND

The SEND programme now integrates with Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD), offering a cost-effective bulk storage solution for exporters. This integration enables sellers to manage inventory more efficiently and ensures better distribution planning. Through SEND, exporters can also access competitive shipping rates and enjoy Amazon-supported logistics. The system is fully integrated with Amazon Seller Central, providing seamless booking, tracking, and payment functionalities.

Launched in 2022, SEND has already benefited thousands of exporters by ensuring shipment visibility, timely deliveries, and improved inventory management strategies. The latest enhancements further strengthen Amazon’s position as a reliable partner for cross-border logistics.

Export Navigator

Amazon has introduced Export Navigator, a one-stop dashboard for exporters to address the complexities of global trade. Available to all exporters, regardless of their Amazon registration status, this tool provides comprehensive guidance on compliance requirements. It covers export registration, product certifications, taxation guidelines, and shipping standards across courier and cargo channels.

Export Navigator also connects sellers with a curated network of service providers, offering faster SLAs and competitive market rates. Additionally, it supports payment reconciliation and provides insights into export incentives offered by the Indian government.

Commitment to Operate Export Growth

Amazon’s initiatives aim to support India’s e-commerce export ecosystem, with a target of achieving $20 billion in cumulative exports by 2025. Bhupen Wakankar, Director of G;obal Trade in Amazon India stated that “We remain committed to expanding e-commerce export opportunities for entrepreneurs across India.”

These enhancements underscore Amazon’s dedication to simplifying global trade for Indian exporters, enabling them to access international markets with ease and efficiency.
