Shoffr: Building the Gold Standard of Ride-Hailing

Shoffr, founded by Vikas Bardia and Kislay Verma in 2022, is redefining premium ride-hailing with electric vehicles, courteous chauffeurs, and reliable pre-booked service. After becoming Bengaluru’s most loved cab experience, Shoffr raised $1 million from users to fuel its sustainable growth. Focused on comfort, hospitality, and green mobility, Shoffr is now expanding across new cities like Delhi NCR.

In a space often plagued by unpredictability, Shoffr emerged with a clear mission: to build the gold standard of taxi services. Founded in November 2022 by Vikas Bardia and Kislay Verma, Shoffr quickly became Bengaluru’s most loved premium cab service, now, it’s bringing that same exceptional experience to Delhi NCR.

A Vision Born from Frustration

Vikas and Kislay’s vision for Shoffr was shaped by everyday frustrations: repeated cancellations, shabby cars, impolite drivers, and unfriendly support, all while customers still paid hefty fares. Determined to change the narrative, they built Shoffr around two uncompromising pillars — exceptional service and sustainable growth.

Shoffr’s ethos is simple yet powerful: rides you’d recommend to your family. Chauffeurs are trained to be polite, avoid unnecessary conversation, never talk on the phone while driving, and assist with luggage. Vehicles are premium electric SUVs – primarily BYD e6 and now BYD emax7 models, offering spacious, noiseless rides while contributing to greener cities.

Growth, Loyalty, and an Unusual Fundraise

After bootstrapping for 15 months, Shoffr scaled to 75 cars, achieved profitability, and hit a $1.5M+ annual revenue run rate — all with less than ₹50 lakh of initial equity capital. In March 2024, Shoffr made headlines by raising $1 million directly from its user community, a rare feat in India’s startup ecosystem.

About 30% of Shoffr’s investors were startup founders themselves, and 66% were based in Bengaluru. The funds are being deployed to sustainably grow operations, strengthen the team, and expand Shoffr’s signature ride experience to more cities.

The Shoffr Experience: Details Matter

From pre-booked rides to thoughtful amenities like bottled water, mints, and clean, spacious interiors, Shoffr pays attention to the smallest details. The company promises no last-minute cancellations and no hidden fees, offering fair pricing for premium rides. Importantly, when help is needed, Shoffr connects riders to human support — no chatbot frustrations.

Today, Shoffr operates on a pre-booking model for airport transfers, hourly rentals, and outstation trips. Guests are encouraged to book 4–5 hours in advance via Shoffr’s website (shoffr.in) or mobile app.

Hello, Delhi NCR!

After winning Bengaluru’s trust, Shoffr is now expanding into Delhi NCR. With a brand new fleet of BYD eMAX7 electric cars, Shoffr promises Dilliwalas the same warm hospitality — and rides that set a new benchmark for comfort, reliability, and service.

“Dilliwalas are known for their hospitality. And so are we!” the founders shared while announcing the launch. Guests in Delhi NCR can now pre-book rides for airport transfers, shopping trips, or even short outstation jaunts, enjoying amenities like candies, in-car WiFi, and trained chauffeurs.

Of course, there will be no unwanted small talk, no drivers glued to their phones, and no last-minute cancellations—just peaceful, premium rides.
