Newton School – Redefining Education for the Workforce

In 2019, Nishant Chandra and Siddharth Maheshwari founded Newton School, an innovative ed-tech platform designed to bridge the gap between traditional education and industry demands. The platform was built to solve a growing problem; students were earning degrees but lacked the real-world skills required to secure high-paying jobs in the tech industry. By integrating hands-on learning, mentorship, and direct placement opportunities, Newton School has successfully transformed thousands of careers.

Recognizing the success of its online model, Newton School expanded into on-campus education with the launch of Newton School of Technology (NST) in January 2023. Established in collaboration with Rishihood University, NST offers a 4-year B.Tech program in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence in Sonepat,

Haryana. Building on this momentum, NST launched its second campus in June 2024 in partnership with Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) in Pune, further solidifying Newton School’s commitment to industry-driven education and job-ready tech professionals.

A Career-First Approach to Learning
Newton School challenges the one-size-fits-all approach of traditional education by focusing on practical skills, real-world projects, and direct industry exposure. Unlike conventional institutions that emphasize theoretical learning, Newton School ensures students are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and mentorship needed to excel in competitive tech roles.

The platform is built around three core pillars: job-readiness through structured career acceleration, personalized learning with hands-on projects, and strong industry integration with over 800 hiring partners providing direct employment pathways. Through these principles, Newton School ensures that education directly translates into employment.

How Newton School Does It: Newton School connects students with 1:1 mentors from top tech companies, such as Google, Amazon, and Flipkart which ensures they receive real-world career guidance. Additionally, students gain practical experience through 45+ hands-on projects, designed in collaboration with hiring partners.

For students at Newton School of Technology, the on-campus experience is structured to align with real-world tech demands, offering paid internships starting in Year 1, where students earn an average of ₹30,000/month. They also have opportunities to work on innovative projects such as gesture-controlled wheelchairs, gaining hands-on experience that mirrors industry challenges. Additionally, students receive global exposure by participating in prestigious events like the Harvard Asia Conference and Wikimedia Hackathon, ensuring they are well-prepared for dynamic career opportunities in technology.

Siddharth Maheshwari says, “Internships are a core part of our curriculum because they provide students with invaluable industry exposure, bridging the gap between learning and real-world application.” By the time students complete their program, they are fully equipped for high-paying roles in software development, data science, and AI.

AI-Powered Learning

Newton School integrates advanced AI tools to enhance student learning and placement preparation. NEO, an AI doubt solver, provides real-time answers to coding and technical queries. CodeLens offers step-by-step guidance during assignments.

AI mock interviews simulate real-world job scenarios to help students refine their responses. The resume evaluator helps optimize applications for hiring managers. These AI-powered features ensure that learning remains engaging, structured, and fully aligned with industry expectations.

Nishant Chandra emphasizes, “Practicing mock interviews with AI helps students build confidence before facing human interviewers. The same applies to AI-powered doubt solvers, which allow students to refine their understanding in a low-pressure environment before engaging with teaching assistants.”

Success on the Ground

Newton School’s model is validated by real results. Over 4,500 students have been placed in leading tech companies, with ₹26.6 LPA as the highest package. More than 800 hiring partners, including Deloitte, Meesho, Flipkart, and Razorpay, actively recruit from Newton School. The institution offers lifetime placement support, ensuring long-term career growth, and provides unlimited mock interviews to help students prepare for job applications.

One of the standout success stories is Mehak Jain, a first-year Newton School of Technology student who cracked Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2024, securing an internship with a ₹1.25L stipend. Such achievements highlight Newton School’s effectiveness in producing top-tier talent.

Beyond private-sector placements, Newton School is also making an impact through strategic partnerships. It collaborated with ISRO to train professionals in Generative AI. It developed a portal in partnership with IIT Roorkee to help SC, ST, and OBC students access scholarships and job opportunities. The Telangana Government partnered with Newton School to establish a coding school for underprivileged students, providing training in Python and digital skills.

Siddharth Maheshwari says, “These partnerships ensure that the talent at Newton School contributes back to the community, helping bridge the digital divide and create opportunities for those who need them the most.”

Redefining Trust in EdTech

The EdTech industry has faced skepticism, with many platforms making big promises but failing to deliver real job opportunities. Newton School stands apart by prioritizing student success over enrollments. It offers transparent placement results, with a publicly available list of placed students showcasing real job offers instead of inflated claims. Progression is tracked transparently, allowing students to monitor their development and compete against others in their batch. A leaderboard is publicly visible within each batch, fostering a sense of motivation and accountability.

Direct company partnerships ensure learners are actively recruited by global tech firms. Industry-driven learning aligns projects and assessments with real hiring expectations. Unlike a one-size-fits-all approach, Newton School tailors its programs to match individual career goals.

Nishant Chandra reflects, “Our goal has always been to create a learning environment where students see real progress and real results. By focusing on tangible outcomes and impactful initiatives, we hope to set a new benchmark for trust in EdTech.”

Future of Education

Unlike conventional institutions, Newton School’s syllabus remains industry-ready as it is taught by professionals actively working in the field. Traditional education often struggles with flexibility, but Newton School adapts to industry needs in real-time, ensuring students learn what truly matters in the job market.

Honesty is at the core of its approach, providing students with clear expectations and transparent progression tracking. AI-powered tools enhance learning by offering personalized support, doubt-solving, and real-time feedback. As the tech industry evolves, Newton School remains committed to staying ahead, innovating, and ensuring that students are not just educated, but employed.
