Ever heard of GCCs? A Global Capability Centre is a strategic unit that supports an organization’s global operations through technology, talent, and innovation. When these centres started shutting down in the early 2000s, Priti Sawant, Founder and CEO of JoulestoWatts decided to cash in on this opportunity by establishing her very own company. She says,

“In 2004-05, I realised the need to build an enablement ecosystem for Indian GCCs. Offshoring would only go so far, and eventually, the global market would recognise India’s potential and want to explore it directly.”

Priti Sawant: The Entrepreneur Behind JoulestoWatts

Having completed her engineering degree from SBMP College of Engineering, she later joined Accenture Consulting. She then worked as the CEO, COO and Director of Magna Infotech. While naming JoulestoWatts she revealed an interesting story behind it:

“Joules–unit of work done. Energy per second creates power. If you have highly energetic people who are working at an accelerated pace, you create enormous power for your customers, for your people, and for all stakeholders.”

The firm is a premier provider of end-to-end GCC capabilities such as workforce setup, solutions, and IT consulting services. Based in Bangalore it was incorporated in 2015. J2W partners with large organizations and Fortune 500 companies to deliver trusted and high-quality services.
