Every home has that one piece of furniture with a special story. Crafted with excellence and delivered with care, that one item holds a special place in our heart. Coorg Rosewood Timbers strives to make every furniture item they create, a special purchase for the buyer. It was established in 2014 by Founder and CEO, Leonard J. Mills.

He says, “As the CEO, I uphold a commitment to preserving tradition while embracing innovation in our designs and operations. The richness of Rosewood, coupled with our mastery in crafting it, has positioned us as connoisseurs in the luxury interior space. My journey reflects a blend of aesthetic appreciation and strategic growth, ensuring that each piece we create is a testament to our brand’s legacy and a delight to our discerning clientele.”

Founder’s story

With a literature degree from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, he decided to start his own business after stumbling upon a newspaper article. With a modest investment of ₹70,000, Coorg Rosewood Timbers began its journey with the goal of crafting exquisite Rosewood furniture. Despite the small initial capital, Leonard’s unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction laid a strong foundation for the company’s future success.

He adds, “In 2014, a newspaper article caught my eye with the announcement that individuals could now purchase Rosewood. Intrigued by this revelation, I found myself chuckling with excitement, sensing a hidden opportunity. Without hesitation, I boarded the next bus to Kushalnagara in Coorg, a quaint town in the Kodagu district. It was here that we established a thriving manufacturing unit, turning our vision into a reality.”

Vision and goals

The vision of the company is to make Rosewood furniture accessible and affordable to customers in the country. Furniture should do more than fill a space, it should reflect the spirit of a home. Rooted in the lush landscapes of Coorg and inspired by generations of craftsmanship, the business has only one goal: to create Rosewood furniture that transforms everyday living into something truly special.
