In a statement, the exchange said the fresh capital marks a decisive step in its plan to strengthen market depth and operational resilience. The immediate focus, according to MSE, is to add liquidity to the equity cash segment, with derivatives to follow “very soon.” The exchange also outlined a pipeline of new products and service offerings aimed at widening participation.

Tech and infrastructure push At MSE

MSE said it is building a new, state-of-the-art data centre as part of a broader technology upgrade designed to improve scale, security and continuity. The exchange described the investment as a foundation for “scalability, security, and sustained innovation.”

Leadership continuity

Kundu’s reappointment, which the exchange said drew strong shareholder support, extends her tenure through the next strategic cycle. Framing the fundraise as an endorsement of the plan underway, Kundu said: “This capital infusion is an endorsement of the trust our stakeholders place in MSE’s vision. With strengthened financial support and a sharp focus on innovation, MSE is poised to redefine the contours of India’s financial markets. We are building a next-generation exchange, agile, inclusive, competitive, designed not just to participate in the future of finance, but to lead it.”

What MSE does?

MSE is recognised by the Securities and Exchange Board of India to operate across currency derivatives, equity derivatives, equity and debt. The exchange positions itself as the country’s youngest bourse and says it is pursuing customised products across asset classes while partnering with ecosystem players to broaden market participation.

Scaling High

With fresh capital and leadership continuity in place, MSE is signalling a near-term push on liquidity and a medium-term bet on technology infrastructure. The stated ambition: translate the cash and derivatives expansion, and the data-centre build, into a more resilient trading venue with room to scale new products.
