Top gainers as real estate stocks gain
The rally in real estate stocks was led by Macrotech Developers Ltd, which surged 2.91%, followed by Phoenix Mills Ltd, up 2.37%. Oberoi Realty Ltd and Godrej Properties Ltd also gained 1.81% and 1.61%, respectively.
Other notable performers included DLF Ltd, advancing 0.69%, and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd, up 0.52%. Brigade Enterprises Ltd and Sunteck Realty Ltd posted smaller gains of 0.16% and 0.03%, respectively, as the sector displayed broad strength.
Mixed performance in real estate stocks
Despite the overall rally, a few real estate stocks lagged. Prestige Estates Projects Ltd slipped by 0.33%, and Sobha Ltd marginally declined by 0.03%. These slight dips, however, did little to overshadow the positive momentum seen across the broader sector.

The real estate sector’s gains come amid mixed movements in the broader markets. While the BSE SmallCap index rose by 0.4% to 55,420, and the BSE 150 MidCap Index increased by 0.37% to 15,907.1, the Nifty 50 index and BSE Sensex posted minor declines of 0.04% and 0.12%, respectively.
Out of all BSE-listed stocks, 1997 traded in the green, while 1328 were in the red, and 151 remained unchanged.
