Google has officially opened applications for its Startup Accelerator: India Women Founders Cohort, aiming to support Indian women entrepreneurs building innovative tech solutions. The initiative is part of Google’s broader commitment to strengthening the startup ecosystem with inclusivity and scale.

The program invites early to growth-stage startups led by women founders from across India to apply. Selected startups will receive support in critical areas such as AI/ML development, cloud and mobile technologies, product strategy, UX/UI design, leadership training, and fundraising. The 3-month virtual accelerator is tailored to address the unique challenges that women-led startups face in the tech industry.

Focus on Diversity and Scale

The Women Founders Cohort is a focused initiative within the Google for Startups Accelerator (GFSA) program. This effort aims explicitly to close the gender gap in tech entrepreneurship by nurturing ventures founded or co-founded by women. Google India emphasised that selected startups will also gain access to Google’s global network of experts and mentors.

  • Have at least one woman founder or co-founder
  • Operate in the technology space with a product-market fit

Past Success and Vision Ahead

Since its inception, the Google for Startups Accelerator India has mentored over 130 startups across sectors like fintech, healthtech, edtech, and agritech. Google aims to continue this momentum by prioritizing inclusive innovation that empowers underrepresented groups in the Indian entrepreneurial landscape.

The selected cohort will be announced in July 2025, with the accelerator commencing shortly after.
