The manufacturing sector in India is turning into a better place to work. A recent report shows that 87% of workers think it is a good place to be. The study found that workers in the best spots are 2.7 times more likely to stay happy at work.
Industry 5.0 and worker health
As India steps into Industry 5.0, firms are not just looking at new tech but are also working on bettering worker health. Great Place To Work says that many firms are trying to lower work stress by helping with work-life mix, backing open leaders, and raising worker engagement.
Balbir Singh, who is the head of Great Place To Work India, said that top firms are building trust and a safe space for workers. “When workers feel like they matter, they are 2.7 times more likely to stay. To face problems, firms need to keep listening to and backing their staff,” he shared.
Problems and fixes
Even with progress, the report brings up that problems still exist. Workers want more safety at work, fair treatment, and ways to grow in their careers.
In reply, top firms have set up ways for feedback, fair task sharing, and flexible work hours. Many have also taken on mixed work models for office staff, given more paid leave, and started training for leaders.
Adding worker perks
To help their staff, these firms have also added new worker perks. Some of the ideas include:
Health plans
No-interest loans
Bonuses for good work
More chances for career growth
