The data shows around 5.86 lakh new jobs for this age group, with a growth of 7.96% from last month. These numbers show that many new members are young job seekers.

Around 14.39 lakh members left and came back to EPFO in November 2024. This is an 11.47% gain from October and a 34.75% rise from last year. These members chose to move their provident fund money instead of taking it out, which helps keep their finances safe for the long run.

State-by-state contributions

The top five states gave 59.42% of the new members in November, adding about 8.69 lakh. Maharashtra was the top with 20.86% of the new members, with Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Gujarat, Delhi, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh each giving over 5%.

There was big growth in fields like clubs, textiles, clothes, engineering, and contractors. Notably, 38.98% of the new members came from skilled services like labour supply, security, and general contracting.

Data keeps changing

EPFO said that the payroll data is not final as they keep updating employee records. These numbers show a lively and shifting workforce, with more and more people joining from different fields and groups.
