Before Seekho had an office, it had a whiteboard, a simple tool that became the cornerstone of the startup culture.

In the early days of the edtech platform, three team members would gather each morning in a cramped room, their eyes fixed on numbers scribbled in blue and red marker. This wasn’t just a routine; it was a ritual, an unwavering daily standup at 9 AM that shaped the company’s discipline and focus.

The practice drew inspiration from Zishaan Hayath’s 8 AM standups at Toppr, a routine that stuck with Seekho co-founder Rohit Choudhary through his time at Kuku FM and into his next venture. At Seekho, that ritual took on a life of its own.

These days, with a workforce exceeding 50 and an equipped office, the company displays a digital scorecard on large screens. This replaces the original whiteboard. Yet, the core idea stays unchanged: the staff still meets at 9 AM on the dot focusing on the same key figures that once filled a simple whiteboard in a tiny space.

That original board, worn out, but full of memories now hangs at Choudhary’s home as a tribute to the journey from zero to one.

How Startup Culture Is Built

More than a tale of growth, this is a story about how culture is built not through slogans or slides, but through habits. In Seekho’s case, a whiteboard ritual grew into a cultural mainstay, proof that some practices are too essential to outgrow.

“Culture isn’t written, it’s lived, day after day,” says Choudhary. And at Seekho, it starts every morning at 9.
