Swiggy Unveils AI Powered Pyng App for Verified Professional Services

In a strategic expansion beyond food and quick-commerce, Swiggy has launched a new AI-powered app called ‘Pyng App’ to address the growing demand for verified professional services in urban India.

Announced on April 15, the app marks Swiggy’s formal entry into the professional services marketplace. Designed as a hyperlocal platform, Pyng connects users with a broad spectrum of experts across over 100 specialisations. This includes professionals in health and wellness, finance, astrology, spirituality, event planning, entertainment, travel, lifestyle, education, and skill training.

Swiggy categorizes Pyng as a handpicked online marketplace created to fill the current service deficit for urban consumers looking for dependable professionals. At its core lies an AI-powered interface that provides users with an intelligent assistant capable of comprehending questions and guiding them to the most appropriate service providers in real time.

The company has also built trust into the platform with a money-back guarantee. If a user is not satisfied with the service received, Pyng assures a refund an unusual move in the gig services space that sets a new benchmark for accountability.

According to Swiggy, Pyng leverages advanced AI, a tightly curated expert network, and a customer-centric approach to deliver efficient, secure, and seamless discovery of verified professionals. The platform is designed to operate in a safe environment, making expert discovery both quick and trustworthy.

Notably, Pyng has rapidly onboarded over 1,000 professionals across various fields since the beginning of the year, following the launch of its dedicated seller app.

This launch comes when Swiggy is also diversifying into other verticals like Instamart, Swiggy Genie, Swiggy Money, SwigL and SNACC. Despite reporting a consolidated net loss of ₹799 crore in Q3 FY25, a 39% increase year-on-year—Swiggy’s revenue grew by 31%, reaching ₹3,993 crore compared to ₹3,049 crore in the same quarter last year.

As Swiggy continues to innovate and expand its digital ecosystem, Pyng represents more than just another app, it signals the company’s ambition to evolve into a broader lifestyle and service enabler in India’s booming digital economy.
