More than half the population in the country owns a pet. Profiting on this very fact, Raj Kantak decided to start Petzzco in the year 2021 inspired by his own three beagles, Ozzie, Oscar, and Sammy. The company provides seamless, tech-driven solutions that enhances the lives of pet parents. A variety of services such as grooming, veterinary, walking etc are available to choose from to give your pet the life it deserves.
Origin Story
Kantak worked as a sales professional at Lyncbiz India Private Limited, where he spearheaded sales for six partner companies. This technical experience inspired him to carve out a niche in another vertical. Thus, combining his professional expertise and personal experiences, Petzzco was founded. The aim was to provide a platform designed to revolutionize pet care.
“As a pet parent, I was inspired to start Petzzco after seeing firsthand the many needs of pets and their owners in my community. We believe that pets play a vital role in our lives, bringing joy and companionship, and we are committed to supporting pet owners in their journey of nurturing healthy and contented pets by providing services for the pets with the help of our empanelled service providers. I wanted to create a one-stop shop for all things pet-related, where people could come to find quality products and services at affordable prices. I also wanted to create a company that was committed to giving back to the community, and that is why we work closely with local animal shelters and rescue organisations”, says Mr. Raj Kantak.
Stray Free India
One selfless initiative by the company is to help strays. With unwavering care and love, they are actively working to provide these animals with safe and loving homes. The company champions a ‘Stray Free India’ initiative and encourages people to adopt rather than buy a pet, especially stray dogs.
A problem that many people state is that pets are too expensive. Tackling this, the solution advocated is that any fancy breed will have special sensitivities as well as special requirements for their health and daily needs, which will add to the cost. However, when we talk about adopting a stray, they are accustomed to our Indian conditions and don’t need any special food. Instead, they may survive only on the food they are provided at home. So, it’s undoubtedly much more economical. Petzzco has initiated this project whereby stray animals can be fostered by a person using its website. It also collaborates with non-profit organizations so that people can contribute to helping abandoned and stray animals in the best way that they can.

Sharing some invaluable advice for young entrepreneurs, Raj says,
Follow your passion and don’t be afraid to fail. Starting and running a business is not easy. It takes hard work, dedication, and resilience. But if you are passionate about what you do, you will be more likely to persevere through the challenges and achieve your goals. Success doesn’t come easily. When you start your own business, it’s normal to face problems and make mistakes in the beginning. But remember, it’s okay to mess up, that’s how you learn. Keep going and believe in yourself.
