Netradyne, a provider of AI-powered logistics solutions, has become India’s first unicorn of 2025. The startup raised $90 million in its Series D funding round, led by Point72 Private Investments, boosting its valuation to an impressive $1.34 billion.

The company plans to use the fresh funds to enhance its generative AI capabilities, focusing on creating a foundational driving model. This will help the startup tackle blind spots and complex driving scenarios, particularly in unpredictable conditions like those often seen on Indian roads.

Ten years of expansion and creativity

Founded in 2015 by Avneesh Agrawal and David Julian, Netradyne aims to make roads safer through its innovative fleet safety and video telematics solutions. Agrawal, a Stanford PhD holder and former Qualcomm executive, brought his expertise in semiconductor research to establish the startup, which now operates from California and Bengaluru.

Netradyne’s flagship product, Driver. I am a game-changer. It uses AI to monitor driver behaviour, detect distractions like drowsiness or texting, and alert drivers with real-time audio cues. The system helps reduce accidents by 30–50%, according to Agrawal.

Expanding globally with AI

Netradyne’s reach extends across the US, Canada, India, the UK, Germany, and more, with plans to expand into Japan, Ireland, and other European markets within six months. The startup’s global fleet monitors over 700 million miles monthly, catering to over 3,000 customers, including big names like Nestlé and Hindustan Unilever in India.

Agrawal revealed that in 2024, Netradyne achieved $210 million in revenue, a 65% increase from the previous year. With a focus on AI advancements, the company aims to grow its revenue by more than 50% in the near future and achieve profitability by 2025. Discussions about a potential IPO will follow once profitability is attained.

A growing market for safer roads

With road accidents causing 1.8 lakh fatalities in India in 2024, Netradyne’s solutions are gaining significant traction among enterprises keen to enhance road safety. Agrawal expressed optimism about rising awareness and demand for AI-driven safety tools in the country.

The rise of deep-tech unicorns

Netradyne’s achievement highlights the growing prominence of deep tech startups in India’s thriving ecosystem. Alongside other unicorns like Krutrim and 5ire, Netradyne benefits from increasing investor interest in sectors like AI, robotics, and chip design.

As deep tech funds such as Yali Capital continue to support innovation, Netradyne’s success sets a benchmark for startups aiming to impact global and local markets.

Conclusion

Netradyne, India’s first unicorn of 2025, is a leader in deep tech innovation as well as logistics AI. With its cutting-edge technology and global vision, the startup is well on its way to transforming road safety and redefining the future of fleet management.
