Delhi-based health snacking brand Khari Foods, under the parent company Grahill Wellness Pvt. Ltd., has secured ₹3 crore in seed funding from Meri Punji Pvt. Ltd., a private investment firm known for backing emerging FMCG disruptors.

Founded by Yash Bansal and Sunil Bansal, Khari Foods has carved a niche in the fast-growing clean-label snacks market with its maida-free, palm oil-free, and high-fiber products, aimed at urban millennials and Gen Z consumers aged 20–40. The freshly raised capital is poised to fuel the brand’s aggressive expansion and innovation roadmap.

Strategic Utilization of Funds

Khari Foods will channel the seed funding towards four strategic pillars:

  1. Strengthening Research & Development (R&D) – to accelerate innovation in functional snacking and ingredient science.
  2. Launching New Product Lines – with a focus on gut health, protein-rich variants, and naturally sweetened alternatives.
  3. Team Expansion – across product development, marketing, and supply chain verticals.
  4. Scaling Distribution – targeting deeper retail penetration in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities via a hybrid online-offline strategy.

Riding the Health-Conscious Wave

With the wellness movement gaining strong momentum in India, Khari Foods has tapped into a growing segment that seeks indulgence without compromise. Its product portfolio, currently retailing through major e-commerce platforms and select offline stores, is rapidly scaling, supported by a projected 208% growth in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).

Speaking on the funding, co-founder Yash Bansal stated:

“This investment validates our vision to transform everyday snacking. Our focus remains on clean ingredients, strong product differentiation, and delivering value to conscious consumers who are demanding more from their food.”

Operational and Tech-Led Edge

The brand has also hinted at leveraging technology-driven delivery optimization tools, especially as it scales up D2C and quick commerce channels. At the backend, its tight control over sourcing and manufacturing is helping maintain margins while scaling.

“Meri Punji believes in backing brands that blend purpose with performance. Khari Foods has demonstrated both product-market fit and operational resilience. We are excited to be part of their journey,” said a spokesperson from Meri Punji Pvt. Ltd.

The Road Ahead

As the Indian healthy snacks segment is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 20%, Khari Foods’ emphasis on functional snacking, clean-label transparency, and regional adaptation places it in a strong position to scale nationally.

With this funding, the brand is expected to launch multiple new SKUs, ramp up retail shelf presence, and double its team size over the next 12 months.
