In a first move to boost job chances and help skill growth, the Andhra Pradesh government has teamed up with Infosys to set up a new skill check. This is the first skill check in India to look at the skills of 35 million people in the state who can work.
The skill check will look at folks aged 15 to 59 years from 1.8 crore homes. It seeks not just to list what skills people have now but also to find out what skills are needed by businesses, helping to close the gap between talent and job needs. Infosys will use new AI technology to check and confirm the skills of those participating.
This big plan will boost job chances by giving training that fits what the market wants. The Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSDC) has made a pact with Infosys, backed by Minister Nara Lokesh. He thanked Infosys for its work in social duties to make the skill check work better.
Helping youth with online learning and job paths
Infosys has promised to give a digital place run by AI to pre-check the skills of those who join. This place will help people learn all the time and link them to job paths that fit them, allowing them to take free online classes and workshops to better their skills. Infosys wants to give the right tech and help boost youth skills, getting them ready for a fast-changing job market.
The deal also plans to make an easy-to-use site that helps online learning, aiding young folks to meet the rising needs of firms. Infosys will help add its digital place into the state’s skill check system, ensuring the tools for checking are used well in schools.
With this plan, Infosys keeps working on the growth of India’s job force, hoping to create 2 million jobs in Andhra Pradesh in the next five years. The firm’s part in boosting skills and digital learning will make a big difference in the area’s economy.
