As temperatures rise earlier than usual this year, Coca-Cola is set to expand its beverage portfolio in India by introducing its global sports drink brand BodyArmor Lyte this summer. According to a PTI report, the move is part of the company’s strategy to diversify offerings in the hydration and wellness segment.
Sundeep Bajoria, Vice President of Operations, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, stated that the company expects its flagship brands Thums Up and Sprite to reach a combined sales milestone of USD 2 billion.

Alongside BodyArmor Lyte, Coca-Cola will introduce Honest Tea, an organic tea brand sourced from Assam, and Vitaminwater, which is currently being tested at select locations such as airports. Additionally, the company plans to increase the availability of Coke Zero Sugar and Sprite Zero Sugar to meet India’s growing demand for low-calorie beverages.
As summer approaches, Coca-Cola is counting on these new introductions to bolster its position in the sports hydration, organic tea, and fortified water categories, capitalizing on the nation’s changing consumer tastes.
