Urban commuters in India may soon have a simpler answer to one of their most frustrating problems: finding parking. Blyp (formerly ParkMate) is making waves with a rebrand, new vision, and the appointment of actor and TV personality Rannvijay Singha as its brand ambassador. Blyp also hinted that it will launch the official app on October 4, 2025, as it shifts mobility convenience to a new trajectory.

From ParkMate to Blyp: The Rebrand

Initially started as ParkMate, the startup based its premise on tackling everyday parking problems associated with a vehicle in India’s congested urban centres. Then, during the middle of 2025, the company made a courageous shift as it introduced itself as Blyp.

The new name was chosen to embody qualities of “speed, precision, and simplicity”, reflecting the brand’s desire to go beyond parking into the broader domain of urban mobility intelligence. The rebrand was not simply skin deep, as it was a strategic shift away from a niche service provider to a platform that appealed to both the individual consumer and large organizations with parking operations.

Today, Blyp considers itself a disrupter that leverages technology, trained manpower, and real-time tracking to create frictionless parking solutions for India’s expanding urban populace.

How the Service Works

Blyp is fundamentally an app-based valet aggregation model. Customers have access to book a valet, who is known as a “Blypper“, within the app. When booked, the Blypper will meet users at their location, take possession of the user’s vehicle, and park it in a monitored and secure facility.

The app provides real-time tracking of the car’s status, and users can request its return with a single tap using the “Get My Car” feature. This simple process is designed to remove the stress of circling around crowded streets, searching for elusive parking spots.

In addition to its consumer-facing valet services, Blyp is also developing B2B modules. Products like Kavach, which offers vehicle verification for gated societies, and Trident, a parking management solution integrated with FASTag and UPI payments, show the company’s ambition to become a comprehensive ecosystem player rather than just a one-trick service.

Rannvijay Singha Joins the Drive

To strengthen its brand connect, Blyp has appointed Rannvijay Singha as its official brand ambassador. Known for his association with automobiles and his relatable personality, Rannvijay is seen as a natural fit for the brand.

While speaking to Ascendants.in, Blyp’s Co-founder and CEO Dhananjaya Bharadwaj said:

“Rannvijay has been a youth icon since my formative years. I have always been his big fan. His persona of being the reliable, strong willed and trustworthy big bro and his background as a automobile lover fit him the best as the face of blyp. His relatability, authenticity, and strong connect with urban, tier-ii and iii town audiences alike, perfectly align with our mission to redefine parking and mobility in India.

This partnership is expected to amplify Blyp’s visibility across urban and semi-urban markets, helping it cut through a competitive mobility services landscape.

Big Milestone Ahead

Company communications indicate that Blyp is preparing for an official app launch on October 4, 2025. While independent confirmation of the date is still awaited in public filings or app-store notices, the timing aligns with the company’s current marketing blitz and ambassador campaign.

At present, Blyp is operational in select areas of Delhi NCR and Lucknow, with expansion plans for Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad in the near future. If the October launch coincides with this rollout, Blyp could quickly capture attention as one of the first organized valet aggregation services at scale in India.

Blyp was co-founded by Dhananjaya Bharadwaj (CEO) and Abhimanyu Singh (COO). Bharadwaj has been the visible spokesperson for the company, leading its public communications and branding efforts. Singh, meanwhile, has been instrumental in operations and has described the rebrand as an “evolution” toward mobility intelligence. Together, the founders present a united vision of delivering smarter, seamless, and trusted parking solutions to Indian car owners.

India’s Parking Crisis and Why Blyp Stands Out

The fast rate of urbanization in India has caused parking to become an ongoing issue. Vehicle density is far greater than organized parking capacity in cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. The parking market is largely dominated by informal valet operators, and safety, security, and accountability are often varied. Blyp is attempting to bring structure, professionalism, and transparency to this unstructured setting while deploying trained valets, integrating a digital payment system, and providing real-time tracking to fill the convenience and trust gaps. A structured model could appeal to urban professionals suffering from limited time as well as businesses that struggle with parking infrastructure and management.

What Comes Next

The weeks ahead will be crucial for Blyp. The company’s success hinges on three key factors:

  1. Launch Execution: Confirming and delivering the October 4 release to a wider audience.
  2. Scalability: Expanding beyond pilot operations into multiple Tier I and Tier II cities.
  3. Trust and Safety: Providing transparency around valet verification, liability, and secure facility partnerships to build consumer confidence.

If Blyp meets these challenges, it could establish itself as a pioneer in parking-tech innovation, transforming an everyday pain point into a hassle-free experience for millions of car owners.
