CtrlS Datacenters Limited, a top data centre company in Asia, will spend ₹10,000 crores to build an AI data centre group in Hyderabad. This was agreed upon in a deal between the company and the Telangana government at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
High-capacity facility with new jobs
The new AI data center group will have the power of 400 MW, which adds to Hyderabad’s digital framework. It will create jobs for 3,600 people, directly and in related areas, boosting Telangana’s growth with more tax money.
Telangana: A centre for digital change
The Telangana government showed that this work shows their promise to keep innovating and investing in tech. D. Sridhar Babu, the Minister for IT and Industry, noted how this project will help make Telangana a leader in digital tools.
“This AI data centre group will lift IT skills, create jobs, and match our plan for growth that includes all,” said Minister Sridhar Babu.
An active way to pull in funds
Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of IT, pointed out that Telangana’s smart plans, like the Data Center Policy and TG-iPASS, make it a good place for big IT projects.
CtrlS: Keeping focused on eco-friendliness and new ideas
The founder and CEO of CtrlS, Sridhar Pinnapureddy, said that the new centre would set high goals for being eco-friendly, new ideas, and digital tools.
Uber’s plans to grow in Telangana
On another note, Minister Sridhar Babu spoke about talks with Andrew Byrne, Vice President of Uber, on how the company wants to grow in Telangana. Uber plans to boost its work, add Uber Green and Uber Shuttle services, and create many new job opportunities.
“Hyderabad’s place as a tech and travel centre makes it just right for Uber’s new ideas in transport. Together, we’re making a smarter and greener future,” said the minister.
Telangana keeps building its name as a place for tech growth and smart investments.
