Andhra, PhysicsWallah ink ₹1,000 crore deal for innovation varsity

Andhra Pradesh and PhysicsWallah have inked a landmark ₹1,000 crore deal to establish a University of Innovation (UoI). This collaboration aims to create a hub for emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), and provide students with industry-relevant skills. It also marks a significant step in equipping the state’s youth with tools to excel in a competitive job market.

The UoI will be Andhra Pradesh’s first institute of eminence, aligning with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s vision for future-ready education. This partnership highlights the state’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.

PhysicsWallah, supported by GSV Ventures and other investors, is committing ₹1,000 crore to this transformative project. Founder and CEO Alakh Pandey emphasized that the University of Innovation will bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands.

The curriculum will focus on fostering research, innovation, and practical application. By addressing critical challenges in education and employability, the UoI aims to empower students for future workforce needs.
