Magicpin launches magicNOW: 15-minute food delivery pilot

Magicpin launches magicNOW, a 15-minute food delivery service piloting across key Indian cities. This initiative marks a major step in quick commerce. The service delivers fresh food within a 1.5 to 2 km radius, ensuring quality and cuisine integrity.

During the pilot phase, magicNOW successfully completed 75,000 deliveries. The trial ran from November 14 to December 15 in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, and Pune. Over 2,000 food brands, including Chaayos, Faasos, and Wendy’s, and 1,000 local restaurants participated.

What makes magicNOW unique

Magicpin launched magicNOW to meet the demand for ultra-fast food delivery while maintaining freshness. Unlike some competitors, magicNOW does not rely on dark stores. It only delivers food freshly prepared by restaurant partners.

Anshoo Sharma, co-founder and CEO of magicpin, said, “Our goal is to deliver fresh food within 15 minutes. We achieved this through strong partnerships and advanced logistics capabilities.”

How magicNOW operates

The service works under Velocity by magicpin, which aggregates third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Companies like Shadowfax, Dunzo, and Rapido ensure fast and reliable deliveries. This approach benefits both customers and local businesses.

The magicNOW feature is easy to access on the magicpin app. Delivery partners handle both magicNOW and regular orders, maintaining a fair system for all.

Quick commerce growth in India

India’s quick commerce industry is valued at $3.34 billion in 2024. It is projected to grow to $9.95 billion by 2029 at a CAGR of over 4.5%. Competitors like Swiggy have scaled similar services, showing the increasing demand for fast deliveries.

Magicpin launches magicNOW to stand out in this growing market. Its focus on fresh, restaurant-prepared meals delivered quickly provides a strong competitive edge.
