The MoU between Lubrizol and Polyhose paves the way for constructing a medical tubing unit, set to begin in 2025 with operations starting in 2026. This facility will significantly increase Lubrizol’s production of medical tubing, ensuring easier access to life-saving equipment both in India and abroad. The high-quality tubing will support essential neurovascular and cardiovascular procedures, such as balloon and minimally invasive catheters.
Advanced solutions through Lubrizol and Polyhose collaboration
Lubrizol and Polyhose will employ advanced technology, using high-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) along with other polymers to produce the tubing. These materials offer exceptional biocompatibility and performance, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Additionally, the facility will comply with ISO 13485 standards, guaranteeing top-notch medical device manufacturing.

Lubrizol’s investments in India have surpassed $350 million in recent years. The company has launched a Global Capability Centre in Pune and plans a significant manufacturing facility in Aurangabad. Additionally, Lubrizol has expanded its CPVC production in Gujarat to meet the growing demand. Shabbir Y.
