Hexaware Technologies has appointed technology industry veteran Aditya Jayaraman as Country Head, India, assigning him the mandate to steer the company’s India strategy and growth with a sharp focus on enterprises and global capability centres (GCCs).
The move places one of Hexaware’s most important markets under the leadership of an executive whose career spans cloud, consulting, IT services, data and artificial intelligence, and who has worked across both Bay Area SaaS start-ups and global technology giants.
Mandate To Aditya Jayaraman : India growth and GCC 2.0
In his new role, Jayaraman will lead Hexaware’s India strategy and growth agenda for enterprises and GCCs, working closely with customers and partner ecosystems. His responsibilities are aligned with Hexaware’s “GCC 2.0” framework, which is positioned to help global corporations treat their India centres as value-creating hubs rather than just back-office units.
The appointment effectively puts him at the centre of how Hexaware engages with multinational companies running or planning capability centres in India, as well as large domestic enterprises that are in the middle of multi-year digital and cloud transformation programmes. While Hexaware has described itself as a global provider of IT solutions and services, the India Head role links that global footprint directly with the company’s local growth and client engagement strategy.
A 25-year technology career across cloud, data and AI
Jayaraman brings over 25 years of experience in building and scaling technology businesses across cloud, consulting, IT, data and AI/ML. His career path has run through Bay Area SaaS start-ups as well as large global technology majors, giving him exposure to both early-stage innovation environments and complex, scaled enterprises.
Immediately before joining Hexaware, he served as technology leader for Amazon Web Services’ Hi-Tech vertical in North America, where he worked with technology companies in one of AWS’s most demanding customer segments.
Across roles, Jayaraman has supported more than 150 North American Fortune 1000 organisations in accelerating their digital transformation journeys, bringing together cloud, data and AI-led solutions to modernise systems and drive business outcomes. This experience gives him a vantage point on how large enterprises think about technology investments, efficiency and innovation at scale, knowledge that is likely to be crucial as he leads Hexaware’s India charter.
Beyond his corporate roles, he has also co-founded a GenAI start-up incubator and continues to mentor early-stage ventures on ideation, product market fit and go-to-market strategy. This blend of enterprise and start-up experience positions him at the intersection of emerging technologies and real-world business adoption.
Outcome-first leadership style
Within the industry, Jayaraman is described as “outcome-driven”, with a reputation for helping teams sharpen problem statements and align technology programmes to concrete business results. Rather than treating cloud or AI as ends in themselves, his approach emphasises clarity on the metrics and impact an initiative is meant to deliver.
For Hexaware’s India business, where GCCs and enterprises are increasingly looking for measurable return on digital spending, this style of leadership is likely to shape how engagements are designed and executed.
Strong academic and professional credentials
Jayaraman’s professional track record is backed by multi-disciplinary academic credentials. He holds:
- a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from NIT Trichy,
- an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, and
- is a CFA charterholder.
This combination, engineering, management and capital markets—reflects a profile that spans technology depth, business strategy and financial literacy, a mix that is increasingly sought after in leadership roles at technology services companies.
Strategic signals from Hexaware
Hexaware has described itself as a global provider of IT solutions and services, and the creation and filling of a clearly defined Country Head role for India comes at a time when the company is sharpening its positioning with the GCC 2.0 construct.
By placing India operations under an executive who has:
- worked with a large number of Fortune 1000 companies in North America,
- led a high-technology vertical at a major cloud provider, and
- actively engaged with GenAI-focused start-ups and incubators,
Hexaware is aligning its India leadership with the needs of clients that are navigating cloud adoption, data modernisation and AI/ML deployment simultaneously.
While the company’s detailed India roadmap under Jayaraman has not been disclosed, the contours of his remit, enterprise growth, GCC partnerships and an outcome-driven lens on digital transformation, indicate where management attention will be concentrated in the coming phase.
