In a notable development for India’s beauty sector, KorinMi, the country’s first Korean skin clinic, has secured INR 3 crore in pre-seed funding. The round attracted respected investors, including Vikas Agarwal, former CEO of Kaya Skin Clinic (Middle East), and Vivek Kumar, CEO of Venture Garage. The brand plans to channel this capital into strengthening technology, scaling its footprint, and launching a direct-to-consumer (D2C) skincare line.
Founded in 2024 by Reshbha Munjal and Jenovia Daun Jung, KorinMi blends Korean dermatological science with solutions crafted specifically for Indian skin. The brand’s name itself, “Korin” and “Mi,” symbolizes a fusion of Korean and Indian beauty philosophies, signaling a commitment to localization without compromising global standards.
The Technology-Led Edge
At the core of KorinMi’s differentiation is its use of advanced Korean 3D skin analysis technology, assessing over 15 parameters across both the epidermis and dermis layers. This precision allows the brand to offer highly personalized treatments, a rarity in India’s fragmented skincare market. Backed by dermatologist-approved Korean protocols, KorinMi delivers a full range of non-invasive and invasive services, setting a new benchmark for science-driven skincare in India.
“There was a clear void in professional Korean clinical skincare tailored for Indian consumers,” said Reshbha Munjal, Co-founder and CEO. “KorinMi is bridging that gap through authentic expertise and technology.”
Within just six months of operations, KorinMi’s flagship clinic at Worldmark Sector-65 in Gurugram achieved operational profitability, a rare feat for a young brand in the capital-intensive beauty sector. With two clinics already functional in Delhi-NCR, KorinMi’s early success points to the strength of its concept and operational efficiency.
The D2C Play: Building an Ecosystem
In a strategic pivot beyond clinics, KorinMi is entering the D2C market with a curated line of professional-grade Korean skincare products formulated specifically for Indian skin types. Five products are already in the pipeline, aiming to build a trusted skincare ecosystem that extends KorinMi’s professional credibility into homes across India.
The brand’s expansion roadmap is ambitious. It plans to open 25 clinics across key metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad over the next three years, a move that could redefine the professional skincare segment in India.
As KorinMi lays the foundation for a new category in beauty care, the industry faces a pivotal question: Can professional-grade, culturally localized skincare become the new norm in India’s beauty economy?
