PlayStation Plus subscribers may soon have three new games to add to their libraries. The September 2026 monthly lineup for PlayStation Plus Essential has reportedly leaked ahead of Sony’s official announcement, with Sniper Elite: Resistance, Chained Echoes and Wobbly Life expected to headline the selection.
The information comes from billbil-kun, a well-known insider who has previously revealed PlayStation Plus lineups before their official announcements. However, Sony has yet to formally confirm the September games, so the reported lineup remains unconfirmed for now.
Three Games Reportedly Join the September Lineup
According to the leaked details, PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers are expected to receive three titles in September:
- Sniper Elite: Resistance
- Chained Echoes
- Wobbly Life
The reported games cover very different genres, giving subscribers a mix of tactical action, role-playing and sandbox gameplay.
The lineup is expected to become available on September 1, 2026, with the games reportedly remaining claimable until October 6. Sony is expected to officially reveal the selection on August 26.
Sniper Elite: Resistance Leads the Selection
The most recent release among the three is Sniper Elite: Resistance, which launched on January 30, 2025. Developed by Rebellion, the game is a third-person tactical shooter set during World War II.
The game follows Harry Hawker, an agent working with the French Resistance in occupied France in 1944. Players can approach missions through stealth and long-range combat while working to disrupt the enemy’s plans.
Its reported inclusion would also make it one of the newer major releases to reach the PlayStation Plus Essential monthly lineup.
Chained Echoes Brings Retro-Style RPG Action
The second title is Chained Echoes, a role-playing game inspired by classic 16-bit-era RPGs. The game takes players to the continent of Valandis, where three kingdoms are caught in a long-running conflict.
Players can explore the world, engage in turn-based battles and use mechanical armor during their journey. The game originally launched in late 2022 and has since developed a following among fans of traditional, retro-inspired role-playing games.
The PlayStation version is listed for PS4, with the game playable on PS5 through backward compatibility.
Wobbly Life Adds a More Casual Option
Completing the reported lineup is Wobbly Life, an open-world sandbox game built around exploration, jobs and cooperative play.
Players can take on different jobs to earn money, purchase items and vehicles, and explore the game’s world. The title can also be played cooperatively, giving players an option for more casual multiplayer sessions.
Its inclusion gives the September selection a noticeably different style from the more combat-focused Sniper Elite: Resistance and the traditional RPG structure of Chained Echoes.
Sony’s Confirmation Is Still Pending
PlayStation Plus Essential is the entry-level tier of Sony’s subscription service. It includes monthly games, member discounts and access to online multiplayer for supported games. Subscribers can add the monthly titles to their library during the eligible period and continue accessing them while maintaining an active subscription.
Sony also offers PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers. Extra includes the Games Catalog, which provides access to a larger selection of PS4 and PS5 titles. Premium adds further benefits, including the Classics Catalog, game trials and cloud streaming in supported markets.
For now, the September 2026 monthly games should be treated as a reported lineup rather than an officially confirmed one. If the leak is accurate, subscribers will have three new titles to claim starting September 1, with Sony’s expected announcement on August 26 set to provide the final confirmation.
