Sify just became the first Indian provider with three data centers certified by NVIDIA for liquid-cooled AI infrastructure. If that sounds technical, it is. But it’s also a huge signal that India’s digital backbone is getting ready for the AI boom.
What just happened?
Sify’s Chennai and Noida data centers were certified as NVIDIA DGX-Ready facilities, meaning they meet the global standard for running high-performance AI workloads. Their Mumbai (Rabale) facility already had this status, making Sify the only player in India with three such locations.
This isn’t just about hardware. These centers are built to support power-hungry systems up to 200 kilowatts per rack. That’s what it takes to train large AI models, think computer vision, natural language processing, or enterprise automation.
The liquid cooling part? It’s essential. Traditional cooling won’t cut it when your servers are running AI at scale. Sify’s setup aligns with ASHRAE’s standards for 30-year ambient temperatures, which means the facilities are built for long-term efficiency.
Why it matters for AI in India
AI isn’t a buzzword anymore. It’s becoming the foundation of how companies operate. From predictive maintenance to customer insights, every business is now looking to integrate AI into its workflows.
But AI needs serious compute power and that starts with infrastructure. With Sify’s newly certified centers, Indian enterprises now have access to world-class facilities without looking overseas.
What the leaders are saying
Sharad Agarwal, CEO of Sify Infinit Spaces, called this a commitment to future-readiness. “As AI workloads emerge as a business imperative, such accreditations ensure our facilities are fully equipped to support the evolving digital ecosystem,” he said.
Tony Paikeday, Senior Director at NVIDIA, added, “AI is becoming a fundamental pillar of business operations. With Sify’s certified facilities, Indian enterprises have access to infrastructure that’s secure, scalable and ready for transformation.”
A step forward for India’s digital economy
Sify is positioning itself as a key enabler for India’s AI transition. Backed by its strong cloud, network, and digital services portfolio, this move signals confidence in a future where AI drives business growth and India plays a leading role.
