From a futile carpentry workshop in Billund, Denmark to establishing over 1000 stores worldwide, Lego has built not just toys, but an entire universe.
The $10 Billion Lego group which was originally founded by Ole Kirk Christiansen in 1932, has established it’s first certified store in India. My Brickhouse was inaugurated on 23rd May at Ambience Mall, Gurugram and it is Lego’s largest in South Asia.
What makes My Brickhouse stand out?
With glowing 5 star ratings, the store has received great reviews and has become the go to place for Lego lovers. Featuring exclusive collections, captivating displays and a plethora of Lego collaborations -like Harry Potter, Formula 1, Marvel, Star Wars, Nintendo, Nike and much more- My Brickhouse is more than a store, it is an experience nobody should miss out on.
Of the thousands of stores that distribute Lego products, what makes My Brickhouse different is its interactive play zones, hands-on building stations and eye-catching displays built entirely from Lego bricks making every visit feel like stepping into a living Lego world.
Rajesh Narang, Founder & CEO of Ample Group, the partner behind Lego’s Indian retail expansion stated “With the launch of South Asia’s Largest LEGO Certified Store, we are not just introducing a brand but offering families a space to imagine, play and create memories together. Our goal is to deliver experiences that go beyond shopping, where every visit feels special and interaction adds value.”
Redefining play in Indian homes
In many Indian households, playing is often undervalued and generally overlooked. However, Lego’s mission with My Brickhouse, is to challenge that notion and foster creativity and imagination in children through their toys. Whether it’s animals, cars, castles, space missions, or dragons, Lego allows children to build their own universes, as they say “Build what you love”.
Is Lego worth it?
Price sensitivity exists, and so people may be hesitant to purchase the products due to their high prices. Considering this, Lego’s prices now range from ₹449 to ₹80,000. What’s more, the bricks produced in the 1950s are still compatible with today’s. Displaying timeless design and enduring quality.
Building beyond age
Lego is not limited to kids, it enjoys a strong following among teens and adults as well. This is why My Brickhouse is perfect for older audiences as it offers advanced sets, intricate builds, and nostalgic themes that spark creativity and challenge the mind.
Ritam Bhatnagar, a Lego fan who contributed a mosaic for the store’s launch said “I still remember the first time I held a Lego brick. It was in the mid-80s… Fast forward nearly 40 years, and life’s come full circle as I travel the world and drop into Lego stores to pick up sets that I can build with my now 12-year-old.”
Why Lego is more than just a toy
Lego is not just a toy or an expense. It’s an investment in cultivating curiosity, learning and creativity, delivering an experience that stays with you for life.
