Bengaluru-based baby and kids-care quick commerce startup Peeko has raised Rs 67.4 crore, or more than $7 million, in a Series A funding round led by Chiratae Ventures. Existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners and angel investors also participated in the round.

The fresh capital comes as Peeko looks beyond simply delivering babycare products quickly. The company plans to invest in technology that can help it develop a broader “parenting partner” offering alongside its commerce business.

The funding also builds on Peeko’s earlier capital raise. In August last year, the startup secured $3.2 million in a round led by Stellaris Venture Partners, with participation from angel investors including Maninder Gulati and V3 Ventures co-founder Arjun Vaidya, among others.

From quick delivery to a broader parenting proposition

Founded by Chetan Sharma, Abhijit Gairola and Vivek Khetan, Peeko operates as a specialised quick commerce platform for baby and kids-care products.

Its assortment includes apparel, diapers, food and other products aimed at parents and children. The platform also offers features such as try-and-buy and instant returns, adding a service layer to the quick-delivery model.

Peeko’s next phase, however, appears to be centred on expanding what the platform can do for parents rather than limiting its proposition to product fulfilment. The planned technology investment is intended to support that shift while the company continues scaling its commerce operations.

Peeko targets six dark stores by the end of 2026

The startup currently operates three dark stores in Bengaluru, covering around 55% of the city. It plans to increase that network to six dark stores by the end of 2026 before entering additional cities next year.

Peeko also said it has grown nearly two-fold every quarter over the past six months, while more than one lakh customers have shopped on the platform since its launch.

That expansion has been accompanied by a sharp increase in product selection. Peeko has grown its assortment from roughly 6,000 SKUs at launch to between 27,000 and 30,000 SKUs, spanning categories including apparel and accessories, toys and learning products, baby gear and consumables.

The company’s average order value is around Rs 1,000, with apparel, toys and baby gear accounting for a significant portion of its commerce activity.

A specialised play within quick commerce

Peeko is positioning itself around a narrower category than broad-based quick commerce platforms, focusing specifically on baby and kids-care requirements.

Its model combines faster delivery with a deeper specialised assortment and features designed around how parents shop for children. The planned move toward a wider parenting-focused technology platform could further extend that positioning as Peeko expands its physical fulfilment network and prepares to move beyond Bengaluru.

For now, the immediate roadmap is clear: invest the Series A capital in technology, expand Bengaluru coverage through additional dark stores and prepare for entry into more cities.
